The primary purpose of this position is… the Forty Two cook creates an exceptional culinary experience for guests through the preparation and presentation of our menu. The cook will prepare food according to standardized recipes and specifications while maintaning the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen including all floors, equipment, workstations and walls. Maintaining a healthy, clean restaurant impacts patronage at Forty Two. Food safety, if not properly addressed, could violate Federal regulations and cause illness. The performance of the cook has a direct impact on the success of Forty Two and its reputation in the community. Quality of food impacts the satisfaction of customers and therefore volume of business
Forty Two functions seven days per week, and more than twelve hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times. Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work in noisy and distracting conditions.
