    Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Marketing, Creative Services, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Clinton Foundation’s marketing and communications department in all aspects of design, including digital and print. S/he will design web, email, event, social media, and partnership concepts, and will play a critical role in supporting the overall volume of and demands for creative materials production in support of the Foundation’s initiatives and departments.

    Scope refers to the extent or range of operations for the position.  Impact refers to the effect of the position’s actions on the organization.

    Support high-volume marketing and communications department by conceptualizing, designing, and executing a variety of digital and print materials. Projects include (but are not limited to): web graphics, social graphics, annual reports; brochures; printed and digital invitations; event signage and staging; exhibits; presentations; video graphics; website and social media campaigns. Will also serve as general creative service support.


    • Responsible for designing and delivering online and print marketing content to support the Foundation’s brand identity, events and campaigns.
    • Design print and online assets that captivate Foundation audiences, including: donors, supporters, and other key constituents
    • Lead the visual aspects of online email communications including foundation emails and email newsletters to external audiences considering A/B testing, responsiveness, and general email best practices
    • Curate and maintain the visual aspects of the Foundation’s website, blog, and social media pages, such as: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram
    • Manage design projects from beginning to end with staff, partners and vendors using communication and project management skills
    • Perform visual QA against Foundation supported browsers and devices to enhance the quality of the user experience.
    • Create wireframes and other initial documents for new projects.
    • Work with the Marketing, Digital and Communications teams to provide design insight on web optimization, using A/B testing informed by analytics, trends, and research.
    • Work closely with Marketing and Foundation initiatives so that goals are met, and brand voice and visuals fall under brand standards.
    • Research and keep up to date with current web technology, best practices, and design trends.




    • Education (Minimum Needed and Type of Degree Needed): Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Work Experience (Minimum Needed): 0-3 years experience working across print and digital platforms in a fast-paced, corporate, agency, media or non-profit organization. Ability to think strategically and work tactically is key.
    • Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job:
      • Brand Management
      • Must have sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of HTML, CSS,
      • Solid design portfolio that speaks for your skills in typography, web design, and creativity.
      • Knowledge of and experience with responsive design techniques.
    • Skills (e.g. Level of Judgment Required, Ability to Direct, Work Independently, Multi-Task, etc.): Ideal candidate will demonstrate high-quality design skills and counsel. Strong communication and project management skills are required. Ideal candidates must have the ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as collaborate with internal and external colleagues and partners.
    • Special Skills (e.g. Technical, Advanced): Including but not limited to:
      • Experience with content management systems, Drupal preferred.
      • Google Analytics
      • Github
    • ADDITIONAL EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED OR DESIRED: Web development, or analytics experience, a plus.


    Physical and Other Requirements

    • Significant computer work, which may require repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
    • Lifting (up to 15 lbs), bending, pulling, collating/filing, and occasional lifting, carrying, and/or moving boxes, files, etc., some of which could be heavy or require the use of carts.
